Diana Clare is a mermaid, an aquatic Fae in Lost Girl Season 4, episode 10 titles "Waves". Dominique is portrayed by Karen Cliche.
Biography
After her brother Darren Clare had stayed on land, Diana promised to go and get him, but Diana joined Darren, and started working in his firm. When she went to swim in the company's pool, her legs were pulled off. She thought it was her brother trying to get rid of her. Diana went to some Fae investigators, in hopes they would get rid of Darren for her. It turned out that Darren wasn't the one who took her legs, but her sister Dominique Clare. Diana and Darren resolved their issues after hearing that, and wanted to take one of the investigator legs for Diana to use. The investigators brought Dominique to them, and the siblings then decided to get rid of the investigators. Since there were three investigators, they agreed to kill them and take their legs. One of the investigators however figured out that the merpeople have a weakness to tap water and sprayed them with it, turning them into sea-foam.
Powers and Abilities
Diana possesses all natural mermaid powers. She can turn into water, and move around fast in that form. She can breath underwater. When a mermaid cries, the tears turn into pearls. Mermaids can also control water, and even make someone's lungs fill with water. The mermaids also have magic legs for one year to do a walking on land, after that they have to return to the sea. Diana had used her year but didn't return to the sea, she used donors to get human legs. The mermaids also have an ability to speak dolphin.
The only known weakness of mermaids is tap water, which turns them into sea-foam, since they need salt water to live.
