Merliah Summers is a surfer that becomes a mermaid in two movies, Barbie in a Mermaid Tale and the sequel, Barbie in a Mermaid Tale 2.
Biography[]
She was born to a mermaid princess and a human man; however, her father died shortly before her birth. Having been born physically human-looking, but with the ability to function underwater like a mermaid, Mariah was taken to her grandfather, a retired surfer, by her mother to he raised safely from her insane aunt. She grew up ignorant of her heritage, but a deep bond with the sea; leading her to become a surfer. After an accident, her hair gained highlights due to a deepening connection to her mermaid heritage.
