Mimmi

Mimmi is a natural-born mermaid with unusual knowledge and powers. She is one of the main characters in Mako: Island of Secrets and is portrayed by Allie Bertram.

Biography[]

Mimmi was born in the Nothern Pod to a powerful mermaid and is a descendant from a royal line of merpeople who ruled the seas. Mimmi was only a hatchling when her brother, whose official merman name is unknown, was born, of which she does not have any memories. Not long after that, they were forced to flee to the Southern Hemisphere in the ocean surrounding Mako Island, as her pod was being threatened by a rebel mermaid. She soon developed a strong close friendship with a mermaid, Ondina, and eventually graduated from the Mermaid School.

When Mimmi and her best friend Ondina return to Mako to try to save it for the pod, they are both soon introduced to Zac. Although she does not harbor the same sort of prejudice and resentment Ondina does, she is supportive of Ondina's belief that Zac's existence as a merman is a threat to the pod.

Personality[]

Mimmi is sweet, but self-doubting and clumsy, she is extremely intelligent and always seems to be soaking up knowledge without even trying. Mimmi can also be insecure and initially had deep feelings of sadness and loneliness due to her lack of family. She is also very loyal to the people she cares about

Appearance[]

Mimmi has long wavy brown hair down to her waist, slightly tanned skin, button nose and blue eyes. She’s of average height and slim figure. Later on, her hair is curlier and longer down to hip length. She usually wears girly dresses and skirts and cute tops. Mimmi commonly wears outfits with flowers or nature-type patterns either with sneakers or sandals. She always wears a silver necklace with a dolphin pendant.

As a mermaid, she has an orange-scaled tail with an orange-scaled top.
