Merlinda, a sixteen-year-old mermaid princess, secretly trains to become a hero like her mother while navigating her dad's strict rules. Her impulsive nature often lands her in trouble, but her loyal friends Nerissa and Sasha are always there to help. As she sorts out her feelings for Tyler and learns to trust humans, she discovers they care about sea creatures just as much as she does.
