Mimily (ミミリイ Mimiri) is a character in the series of light novel and anime In the Land of Leadale. She is a turquoise mermaid who was saved by Cayna after being trapped in an underground waterway.
In anime, Mimily appeared in episodes 9, 11, and 12.
Biography[]
Mimily used to live in the ocean, but her village had made her an outcast after failing to meet her people's expectations for becoming a princess and securing their race's continuance. She was later sucked into a strange magical portal which trapped her in a groundwater vein near the remote village. Her singing voice echoed to dispel her loneliness, only when she echoed in the village as an eerie moan coming from a well. Cayna ends up rescuing her and offering her quarters in the village.
There, Mimily takes shelter within the communal bathhouse (sentō) and has founded a laundry business. Despite Cayna promised her to find her homeland in the sea, Mimily decides to stay on the surface for a while longer so that she can keep her laundry business going.
Physical Appearance[]
Mimily has long teal hair which falls to her waist, white skin, bright green eyes, and turquoise fish-like tail. She also has ear fins, being long and webbed, perpendicular to her head, covered in blue skin and scales. She wears a pink fish hair accessory and light cyan seashell bra.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Water Manipulation: Mimily has her ability to control water, even when she is doing all the laundry.
- Singing: Like most mermaids, Mimily is able to sing when she's lonely. Her singing echoes from a well and across the land, leading many of the villagers into thinking that the well itself may have been haunted.
