Biography[]
A siren with an extreme desire to be loved. She wears a fishtail, but all who see her true face run away panic stricken. All she can do in her grave disappointment to bury them and await the next being that might love her.
Surstromming was once an ordinary human until she was cursed by a siren. According to her village's legends, the sirens were not as kind and innocent as people imagined. They used their voices to lure sailors into a nightmare, an eternal sleep on the ocean floor. Those who hear the siren song will see the singer as their true loves, only to awaken in the belly of a fish. If a siren is murdered, a curse is released that will befall the murderer's female relatives.
The most outstanding woman amongst them will receive the curse and shimmering scales will cover their legs. Once the scales completely cover their legs, they will fuse into a fishtail and the girl will lose all memory of being human and disappear into the sea. The only way to break the curse is if someone truly loves the siren and gives her true love's kiss.
