Syokoy is the Filipino equivalent of a merman.
Physical Appearance
Unlike his western counterpart (Upper torso of a man and bottom half of a fish) syokoy is an aquatic man covered in scales and fins. He has legs, but his feet are either fin-like or webbed. Though he is very different from a western merman, his female equivalent, sirena, is identical to a western mermaid.
